Somewhere some Nissan fanboy shed a tear at the sight of a big American V8 under the hood of that car.

personally, i see a potentially homicidal work of art.
enjoy.

I am no fan-boy, but I almost shed a tear.
I can appreciate it though, but I believe it's missing the anti ir paint.

You are going to cry a river when you see what im doing to my 90 300zx over the next 5 years. LS something with dry sump and t56 trans with mcleod bellhousing.

God knew what he was doing when he put Japanese people and American people on this earth together.

I was just going to say, I have had a 300zx before. jdm 91 tt, auto.

It's a stronger chassis compared to an s13.
I am looking for a manual, silver on black. When the engine goes, I will through something different in it, an ls variant.

Why 5 years though?

Money! I figure 5 years is a good plan. I have a TT motor and everything from an imported chassis in my garage, but i hate working on the motor even though its a good motor. Did i mention i hate the motor? I hate the motor.

I have to ask...

1) What is the deal with the front fenders? Did the kid try to put BMW fenders on a Nissan?

2) What in the hell is that Frankenstein looking crap on the rear fender? Industrial staples?

no, those front fenders are just shitty fiberglass widebody fenders. and the rear is stitched together with zipties. something ALSO popular in the cheesey drift community

Yeah the fenders are fiberglass and the zip ties are lame. Im fixing that rear fender and trying to talk dude into getting some new front ones without the vents. Theres no metal underneath to go back to stock.

I have a guy who wires all the Formula D cars and fastest time attack cars in the US, coming to my house in the morning to give the jankcar a good look. We are probably going to pay him to wire the entire car with milspec goodness.

Ive been stripping the car a little everyday. Everything is coming out. After that, im blasting everything and then painting with smoke grey paint in typical race car interior fashion. When im done resealing the motor and the new clutch gets here, im putting the drivetrain back in the car and installing 300zx brakes all around. The car goes to a bad ass wire guy when im done.

I got all the wiring out of the car except a couple ignition and fuel injection box wires. I spent a couple of hours removing the battery tray, degreasing and scrubbing the engine bay, and hit it with the pressure washer. Now i need to primer and paint, then move on to the engine and trans part of the project inside the garage.

I might clean the interior the same way too.

Two weeks.........That would take me two years.

Best of luck, I got fingers crossed that you'll have no setbacks.

I hope we dont have any setbacks, but I dont think we will because the car was running well before I took it apart. You can also get SBC parts at the McDonalds drive through. Im not worried about getting parts at all

I got the first coat of paint in today. Theres a lot of spots I missed and some that need a heavier coating. Its a little humid tonight, so im letting it dry until late morning tomorrow. Im thinking about doing the entire interior in this color, and under the body panels when I remove them.

Nice color.

I spent a couple of days with my new pressure washer, and chasing down parts for the rebuild. Thank god for pressure washers! The motor and trans are back in the car after a whole lot of changing of parts and applying new ideas.
