Posted by rustyjaw Hit up this place last weekend. Neat space, love the scale of it. It reminded me of some of the larger buildings at Hunter's Point or Mare Island, just not as old.

Very nicely composed images of this site rustyjaw. If i may ask, what was the security situation like when you went?

Thanks. There was a guard, parked in a green car that, AFAIK, never budged from the front gate by the main road. Although it was pretty clear that a car regularly drives into the building, there are numerous tracks, you can easily see the path the car makes. But last saturday, for at least 4 hours, no cars drove into the building.

Yeah when we went the first time the security situation was not extremely clear so you can imagine our thoughts when Clyde pointed out the car tracks inside the building lol. I think having the guard there makes it more interesting personally. Keeps you on your toes

It was a neat place. Lots of great lines and angles, which Rustyjaw captured nicely. If those tracks were from security guards, they've got to be young guys who are bored on their shift, doing doughnuts inside the buildings. Many of the tracks appeared to be from people goofing off.

There are 2 different sets of tracks. One is a dirtbike which we saw riding around in the distance on some dirt hills near the place on our way in and the other tracks are from some kind of car or truck that you can tell takes the same rout through the place every time it enters. The burnout looking tracks near the roll up door are the motorcycles and the straight ones that just go right through the building must be from when the guard decides to patrol im guessing. Not sure though.

Great shots as always. I love the view from the crane controls.
The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us? |

"BUMP" We had a group explore here this weekend. We were present for the changing of the guards. We saw the "new" guard drive out of the building then park 1/2 in & post up there.

The guard hasn't been very "active" on his patrol... when he arrives in the evening, he drives through the building and then parks by the front gate and doesn't seem to budge. Also, seems to be more present nights and weekends.

This is one of the largest industrial buildings i have crawled around in yet. Lots of unsafe cat walks and deep open pits. I love it. Thanks again for the opportunity to explore with yall its always a pleasure.
I wish i was underground, that's where the love is. |

The guard spent most of his time on his phone, and the rest pooping.

Kudos to you guys. It's good to see some more photos from this location. I went to this place a few weeks ago but I was by myself and I didn't like the idea of trying to dodge on-site security so I didn't go in.

Looks as if I will need to stop by soon. Cant wait.
