I'm confused. What's the game? Looks like it came off a 52-54 Ford .

Upon a second look ( that wasn't on a phone ) I retract my Ford thought. I thought the emblem on the hood looked Fordish and didn't see the headlight cut outs. I think its across the pond as well. Renault Dauphine?

it's not one of the big 3.
i am thinking that this car is an older Kaiser or Nash, something small. The hood emblem is not Ford or GM variant and I don't recall any Chrysler variants using that shape.

another thought was that it was an ancient Datsun... but the hood shape is all Detroit.

Okay, I know where I have seen THAT hood ornament...it was on my Great Aunt Sophie's car in the 50s! There is a photo of said car somewhere here at my house...

I know my great uncle bought said car for her to one up my great grandfather's purchase of a Nash Rambler brand new....

Edit: Man, I didn't know I had so much AMC blood in the family...

The ornament seems to be from a Desoto. But I can't find the right model yet.

Anyone with a drill motor can do hood ornaments.

JC Whitney has a ton of them.
Hell, I have one from a Rolls Royce, I'm just sure it would look retarded on my wifes Element.

Hood ornament is '55 De Soto

Hood is not De Soto though

I'd say a Dauphine with a 55 De Soto hood ornament
