Hi all, I'm another new member at UER. Actually, I've had the account for a while and never used it much, and also have not really lurked around. I guess I have done some degree of UE, less so with buildings than with railyards and bridges. I've mostly stuck with train-hopping, hitchhiking and renegade camping so far, but definitely wanting to do some local discovering as well.
I am from Winnipeg and mostly stomp around here for the time being. Hope to buddy up in the future and meet a few fellow fringey adventurers around here and beyond. I don't get to share enough stories of filthy Winnipeg adventures, so I could use some more.
Hoping to post some stuff this fall once I crack into something good.

My current job site is near the north perimeter (map link below) and on the horizon I can see a half-collapsed little house thingy, and a bunch of crap lying around in the field behind the fence of the new development. (edit) to clarify: it's just inside the perimeter. That's the intersection we're working at. We're building a fence there. There's a field just north of the intersection with a bunch of junk in it (I can see a big tire and some other crap from where we're working. Somewhere near pipeline and stone in the field is a half-collapsed house thingy

Fiber bond came down last night/this morning. Looks like what was still standing yesterday morning just gave out and collapsed. Also, theres an old gas station on keewatin just north of ND thats coming down soon I believe

Looks like they are getting ready to tear it down, removed the site trailer office from out front.
Either that or they said, ah screw this shit Im out haha.
As for shanghai, saw the same. Maybe one last in and out before its gone?

I was just thinking about that. I wonder if any of them actually appreciate being able to check out these buildings before demolition. I know one of our members spoke to the crew demoing the Union Stock Yards building, and they were rooting through old documents and things in their spare time.
Thinking back now, fuck I've been in some seriously dangerous places. It's amazing how your mentality changes given a few years. I'm not nearly as invincible as I once thought I was!
