What video game is this based on?

I thought it looked good until all the explosions and super hero stuff.

It's not based on anything. It's an entirely new idea by zack Snyder. He also says it's his first action film. The guy who made 300 and watchmen doesn't chink he made an action film until this one. It's going to be insane.

300 was great but the watchmen was butchered imo.
This looks like a big pile of terrible movie puke to me.
Somebody post a decent review once they go, I'm seriously on the fence due to the director. tnx in advance.

Shit I did not realize I missed it... Would love to hear what people thought of it, I do love Zack Snyder stuff. Let us know.

I liked 300 and thought Watchmen was intensely boring. Sucker Punch is like watching a really long, mostly interesting, music video. I saw it at a drive-in, so I'll probably watch it again on a computer to really see it, but as a movie, it's kind of empty.

Shit I forgot to let everyone know what I thought of it.

I loved it! I went in expecting hot chicks and insane fights and it delivered. If you go in expecting anything else you are stupid. It was never billed as anything other than a badass action flick. Several have complained that the story is too hard to follow, and that is because they are retarded. If you have at least the IQ of a 6th grader you can follow it. This isn't Momento or Mulholland Dr. There are three levels to the world, Real World -> Bordello -> Fantasy World, thats it. It pretty obvious when you get to each section, so you won't(shouldn't) be getting lost. The movie is dark and gritty and a fun ride. Each action sequences is done in its own unique style, from the set pieces to the cinematography. I don't know why someone would not like this movie. See it if you like hot chicks and amazing fight scenes.

I saw this in an IMAX theatre the other night and holy sh*t!!! I loved it. The critics had no idea what they were talking about...it was nothing more than just a kick ass action movie...the story was slightly complex, sure, but it was an awesome movie just the same.

It had this three level story...it wasn't meant to be a huge deep plot line. If you saw it and saw that it was in like three levels. One was Baby Doll's story with her stepfather, one was the story as the people in the asylum saw it and one was Baby Doll's escape story in her dreams.

That's what I meant by it being sort of complex and that you had to think a little to understand it.

Hopefully it's like Watchmen, so when the director's cut comes out it'll explain a lot more.

I saw it as having an extremely simplistic, single layered story, told in a simple linear fashion, with 3 different filters which would change based on very predictable rules.

But I liked it. Like I said..., good, long music video.

Legends of G was pretty good. I saw it a while back. I'm an animation lover anyway. It sort of reminded me of Watership Down. Dark and sort of not for kids.
