my friend Victor had a sedan version of that with an automatic that had 370,000 miles on it before he traded it for a 92 Lumina Euro 3.1 coupe.

nothing rusts once you get south of Virginia.

Stuff rusts in Florida, unless it's in Ocala.

Traded the accord and crv as a down payment on the wife a 2010 corolla. She likes it so meh. I just had a 1992 miata fall in my lap needing a top but otherwise good for $1000. Do it?

i'd buy the miata... seriously.

Yeah, go for the Miata!

That poor Honda literally looks like it tanned with a bra on.
Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing. |

Buy the Miata. You can pick up a low end top for like $150 shipped out of somewhere in SC. Helped my buddy install one, and it was pretty decent quality. Sell it off in the late Spring and you'll probably make a killing on it. Check for rocker panel and front fender rust. If the body is clean, you could sell the shell for close to that to a Spec Miata racer.

Update: Going next weekend to pick up the Miata if all goes well. Still haven't gotten to see it in person but if it doesn't look like a steaming pile of dog shit I'm gonna pull that trigger. It has NO top. At all. And has been in the weather for 2 years. Got some pics, body looks ok. Not perfect but ok. Hasn't been started in 2 years either so when I go it will be the first time it has been started in a while. Wondering about the odd battery though? Can't find one at any stores around here and apparently it's something funky. Anyone here had a Miata? Halp!!

Get a lawn mower battery and the adapters to adapt the terminals to a standard car terminal. My friend did that in his Miata, and it's worked fine for 3 years now.

Pulled the trigger. Clutch isn't disengagement so had to stop start and float the gears forty miles home. Pics soon. I have moss.

Tip it upside down on your front lawn and hose it out! Looks just great underneath all that crap. Good score!

|
Not bad actually... maybe pull the carpets and pressure wash the hell out of them?

|
I approve!

Update. I vacuumed out about twenty pounds of leaves and dirt plus three gallons of water. Bonus, have owners manual in perfect shape and factory floormats in really good, if dirty condition .

Update: Pulled both seats today (I know it seems like I get very little done but I only get to work on it in the morning before work while taking care of a three month old ). Passengers I think can be saved. The drivers is doubtful sadly. Vacuumed another ten pounds of crap and a gallon more of water.

Base Miata seats are cheap and plentiful. I think I'd just locate a new set. Check out http://Miata.net and possibly http://GrassrootsMotorsports.com/forum.
