But from what I've gathered online a 5-speed is a bolt in affair. Stay tuned. I really like this thing. I may do a swap. Original owner named it Ruby Subi. I think I'll keep her name lol

As my 2011 Mazda3 is now up around 200,000kms I decided it was time for a change, and picked up the 2013 Mazdaspeed3 I should have bought in 2011
It's got 52,000kms on it and came with a number of upgrades I've have wanted to install anyways, including: Autotech High-Pressure Fuel Pump internals CP-e Triton exhaust CP-e catted downpipe JBR 70duro RMM Cobb Accessport Forge V1 BPV JBR Short Shifter Custom e-tune for mods (~310whp) 12" sub/amp w/ custom enclosure that consumes literally the ENTIRE trunk. Totally impractical, but it helps ensure that nobody ever asks me to help them pick up or move *anything* lol In addition to what it came with I've also ordered some Hella Supertone horns and Corksport shocks & lowering springs. It's a brutish monster and I fucking love it

I need a daily capable of doing a 70 mile per day commute and is mildly interesting, maybe 2-3k.... I'm feeling Volvo 240. Opinions?

Nice car! How's the ride and handling with Corksport shocks?
|
|
lol to be honest I bought them in anticipation of getting the car, got it, then got busy and never installed them. They're sitting unopened in a friends garage along with the Oil Catch-Can kit I too purchased and never installed. Holy shit I'm lazy I'm sure they're great though...I had Corksport Shocks w/ RoadMagnet springs on my last Mazda and the ride was excellent. Anyways, much as I absolutely love the car, I'm actually now thinking of getting something new and exciting. My wife just picked up a 2017 Ford Edge last night, and while hanging around the dealership I got to looking at the Focus RS and the GT350. The Mustang is most impractical and on the higher end of my budget, but it looks and sounds so nice. Also back to looking at 2018 Subaru WRX STi's, 2017 Audi S3 or even BMW M240. It's getting tougher and tougher though to find cars, even interesting sporty ones, with manual transmissions, and I refuse to purchase an automatic. Decisions decisions

we park our cars in the same garage. I just installed that Injen Cyborg CAI kit today... my brother came over and did it. I thought it was super swell the nose of the car had to come off. It's fun, sort of... I hear more turbo and when I blows off, it sound like darth vader. A friend of mine says the Focus RS is a blast to drive. His wife just purchased one.

It's funny, I just put a Forge diverter valve on my Turbo S, and honestly, the car feels less boosty, but it sounds fucking great.

all I hear, honestly, is induction noise. Is that normal with a CAI on a turbo engine?

haha, thanks guys, it's been a blast so far. It feels strange driving a fully stock car, even a powerful one like the STi. I know its going fast, but it doesnt sound or feel as fast as the Speed3, which was totally obnoxious and loud AF. I did pay for the 4yr/160km bumper-to-bumper warranty so I'm loathe to start modding the hell out of it just yet, but I'm thinking this weekend I'll take it in for a muffler delete to at least get the sound up to (roughly) where it should be. I really don't seem to like quiet cars it seems

I've been wanting to do a cat-back on my Cruze, but I annoy my neighbors enough with my late night wee hour comings and goings.
