Ok try going uphill on Pzero rosso's then try going uphill on hakka 5's.

been there. done that.
the first winter I had my Cobalt SS, it still had PZero's on it... it was a challenge, but the car got where it needed to go. I even got the fucking thing out of the parking lot at work through a SNOW DRIFT on PZero's.

it's about skill...
even now, my Beretta doesn't have snow tires. No problem getting around, although slush is kind of a douche because the tires are two sizes too big for the wheels.

im not saying its not doable, im just saying its a hell of a lot easier and more convenient to get around with winters. Especially going up north

it DOES, however, play merry hell with the ABS computer... front wheels are going 45, rears are going 15... that's when the computers goes 'fuck it' and flips the warning light on.

Winter tires make a world of difference considering ive driven many cars with and with out them. hell I even drove a 300zx today with summers and although it was doable it was alot less controllable then having a good winter tire on it.

you must be a shitty driver, the roads in montreal today are dry and its not cold, so if you need winter tires in this weather you should turn in your licence

yeah I had all kinds of lights on all the time. they mean nothing in the VW community.
basically the street was plowed, my car was very low (tucking all corners) and i was probably rubbing the ground on that day.

My car scraped skid plate on normal dry roads sometimes so I shouldnt have been driving it anyways in the snow. it was funny though

That looks like a Mk. IV R32 Gauge cluster. Either that or a similar vintage Passat.

Same here...my 95 was a champion once I took ownership of it from my grandfather. I fixed all the small things he never took care of it and I went everywhere in New York, Ontario, Quebec, Vermont, and Massachusetts!

I think maybe the next car I will buy is a used 5th generation Caravan.
