This is gonna be a longgggggggggggggg build. Because I have to find the right parts, at the right prices.
Its a simple build, but still gonna be a year plus, since I have nowhere to build it here and will have to use a buddys shop when I can.
I'm gonna look for a late 80's early 90's Grand Wagoneer. I just need a body. Not motor, trans, or Tcase needed. Cannot have any rust, or rot. Would love to find one with a perfect body and interior but just a trashed drive train. No red interiors. Ugh, I can't handle anymore red interiors in my life 
Also, nothing lifted, modified, or otherwise different than stock. I even want to have a stock radio if it has one.
I think I can find the body, but I may need yalls word of mouth to find things like a factory radio and some odds and ends I'll need.
I am looking for a 6.2 L Diesel GM engine ( I know, but these are pretty easy to swap, I aint towing a mountain, and I'm looking for easy, to make it more attainable). I passed up on a lot of 4 of them 3 years ago which were in crates and military surplus for $75 each. If anyone sees something like that LET ME KNOW. But I doubt that will come up again. So if someone sees a cheap one, lemme know. Needs to be eastern seaboard tho. I want a 700R4, but I need one for a diesel. I was told the gearing in them is different. Dunno if its true, but figure why not. Figure a Surburban will be my best bet on that.
As this build goes along, I'll be buggin folks to see if they can find me odd pieces here and there.
I'll post pictures as this build progresses. Don't expect anything before tax time, thats when I plan on getting the shell.
Anyone ever done something similar?
I want a clatterin Jeep dammit, and life is short. So I have decided, while on my pain pills for my back to do this. This may be a bad decision.

A gas 700R4 can be built into a diesel 700R4 and vise versa.
