Infiltration

I come from the Mid-Atlantic of the continental United States. Both my Mother and Father and also both step-parents have worked for military installations as civilians for the past 35 years. When I was a kid they use to take me to the air shows at the Norfolk Naval Base. I've see a lot of craft. To name a few faves, F-13 Tomcats, F-22 Raptors, SR-71 Blackbird, Stealth Fighter/Bomber and A-10 Warthogs. Since the Atlantic Coast Fleet is located there and the Atlantic Squadron at Oceana, there is also a lot of history around the Chesapeake Bay as it was placed strategically. Jamestown, Yorktown, Williamsburg, Norfolk and Portsmouth. Now before I found out UEing was the name of this action, I use to look up the old airfields in that area and sometime visit them. Most you could see noting but weeds growing out of the strip or just an imprint where the strip use to be.

The point of all this is I recently hiked up to Devils Head out here in Colorado. After getting back I decided to research why it is name Devils Head and stumbled upon CMC.org website. Low and behold there was a story about the Harrison crash. Now this would make an awesome day trip. There is not a lot of information out there about it and even the aviation disaster sites for this area are far and few in between but any of the crashes are a day trip. A good thing is there are laws in place to restrict the scavenging of any crash over 50 years old.

To sum it up once the snow lift later next year, these expeditions are a few of the activities I will be taking on. and invite anybody who is interested in this to take part in it.

Do you mean that the crash remains are still there?
I am fascinated by crash sites and stories as well. I've always had dreams about plane crashes and I worked for a commercial airline for a few years, which led me to read up on a lot of crashes.
