I don't get some of them, though. There's a pretty clean looking CRX with reasonably sized aluminum wheels, and they're calling them out on it. The also managed to get the years wrong.
The cars on there with reasonable wheels probably have those wheels because they could find wheels with usable tires for less than a set of cheap new tires.

There's an early 90's Mazda 323 by Shadowedsmile's house that it about 2/3s of a car it's so rotten... you can see large parts of the interior through where the real wheel arch and inner fender used to be. I think squirrels live in it. I would put rims on it. Nice ones.

the cobalt and cavalier (aside from those horrible taillight) were actually well proportioned.
Sometimes people aren't going for bling.
personally I hate hubcaps and steel wheels...
sometimes, though, wheels are just out of proportion for the car or just look out of place (like on a Grand Am) and don't get me started over the donk atrocities.

I've had my ricer days, my mini truck days, my 4x4 days and recently the slam something ridiculous and put big wheels on it days. Even though i'm currently rolling stock height, stock rims and tires.
I sold the 22's and put it back to stock in preparation for lease return.

Jacked up trucks that look like this:

They are ALWAYS driven by THESE people:
...and Nickleback, Theory of a Dead Man and Kid Rock can almost always be heard blaring from the speakers.
Also, underside of truck will be covered in sod from their 14 year old girlfriend's parents' front lawn where this all too common creature parks.
Seriously, every fucking douchebag and their DOG in belleville has a truck like this.

That's every truck out here in oil country! Fuck when it was booming out here, every kid working oil was rolling like that.
Now all of those trucks are for Sale on Kijiji because oil failed and the punks are all out of work.

here in montreal the only problem we have are ricers. itsfunny when a 16 year old in a 1989 crx thinks he has a sports car when he puts a fart canon and ridicoulous rims on. then he will tell you after bondoing the body he is driving a restored classic.

Is this open for discussion? If so, i dont think any of those wheels look good on that car. The stock ones are pretty nice IMO, but i do understand you only had the hubcap version.

I think the rims on the Cavalier look great actually.
Not a fan of the white letter tires...I think that detracts from the clean lines of the car. However, Sam's car, Sam's rules
