Oh, the locations are fine. What I meant was the city is rather devoid of dedicated explorers.

Anyone live near jessamine county ky?

This thread brought me to these forums, oh google and your magical powers. I am assuming there are still folks from Louisville who explore?
Yeah, every now and then.

I'm in Louisville, just getting into this stuff, anybody care to show me a few good places? Or at least tell me about them? Preferably subterranean, I love the underground stuff.
Well, anywhere is awesome, I just have a fondness for the underground structures.
So not really preferably subterranean, but those are my favorites.

I'm always down to meet new folks over beer.

Sounds great, I actually live pretty close, I'm in the Buechel area, I'd love to chill and go check some places out, especially some drains if you know of any, I've found a few by my house, never gone too far in though, I want to get some waterproof boots and a headlight, just got to wait till payday, which is Sunday for me.

I am rather young though, so I hope that doesn't bother you, I don't know your age
im 23 now, turning 24 soon. I work at the GE appliance park up there in beuchel. Ive got some boots from work and some flashlights, I also just ordered a battery and charger for my camera. I'll do some looking around in the Louisville area and see what I can find, I actually just got back from driving around to see if I could find anything with the wife. Not much luck as of yet, though im just getting into this as a hobby so I'm not really sure what to look for yet haha I'll jump over on google and see what I can find.

Age isn't a factor as long as you're not a minor. Most of the explore-worthy stuff is going to be in the inner parts of the city; the south end is generally devoid of anything worthwhile. I'll admit, I've slacked on the Louisville scene in the last year or so in favor of other cities. I just saw the Kent Feeds silos in Phoenix Hill half-demoed last weekend, and I was kicking myself for not knowing that they were even abandoned in the first place. I'll be hitting this city hard again as it warms up more. I'm happy to have anyone along, but you'll have to be comfortable with extreme heights ;)

I've added you both to my private board for Louisville explorers. I hate to admit that I'm the only really active explorer here, but such is the case and because of that the board isn't very active. We can still use it to plan something. And we very well should. Let's make it a great summer.

Screw beer! Whiskey is the way to solve life's problems.

To alcohol: the cause of, and solution to all of life's problems!

That's the problem, I'm a minor until July, my mother knows I'm into all this, and that I'm trying to find people, I hate being young
