I never had the pleasure of meeting Jeff, but because of him I've met some of the most wonderful people in the world

I'll 2nd that. Some of my closest, dearest, most treasured friends are people I met because of exploring and some through UER.

Infiltration was something I read during slow periods at work...day dreaming & wishing I could explore cool locations like described in the magazine.

Now, years later, I have explored locations that have given me memories that will last the rest of my life time.

"To have great dreams is a blessing, but to live out those dreams, even in whatever small measure time allows you, is a greater blessing yet."

Awesome words to live by. If you have a dream, no matter how small, take the steps to live out that dream. Live without regrets.

RIP Ninji

I can't really say more than has already been said, but I have to chime in. I never met him, but he really was the seed that this whole community grew out of. If not for him (and Av), I'd still just be a guy who peeked into old houses now and again, walked around in the woods, and looked at photos of old factories on the internet. It's really thanks to this place that I've gotten out, met amazing people with the similar interests, and expanded my horizons as much as I have.

Rest in Peace, Ninj.

Just paying my respects.
Read about Jeff a while back.
Infiltration was the beginning for me and led me here to meet some really great people from it.
You memory and the impact you had clearly lives on Jeff.
R.I.P. to one of the good ones who moved on too early.

What a nice memorial Av

I never had the opportunity to meet Jeff either but was always interested in the knowledge he wrote of on these forums.

I was deeply touched and very saddened when I learned of his passing. It was surely a sad loss for all who love UE. The outpouring of grief stricken members was surely something I will always remember

RIP to a man that will always be remembered and respected for all his accomplishments and may all his friends find comfort in their memories.

If it wasnt for Jeff and his site, I would never have made it here or been so enticed to go urban exploring. Thanks Jeff for all you have gave this community and for getting me started on what is such a great activity. You will always be remembered!

Avatar-X: That was an amazing memorial, extremely heart-felt and well written.

Soft-spoken, intelligent, helpful, kind... he was one of the good ones.

Infiltration really opened my eyes to the bigger picture
and made me hungry to truly explore, discover new places and
fill my soul with the power to push the limits.

His candle may have burned fast, but it also burned brightly.

I ALWAYS did this. But I didn't know anyone else did.Because of Ninj I know about you. Now I know that one day I'll come around a corner someplace "I'm not supposed to be" and meet you face to face.I would even go so far as to say you and I have already seen each other before-where we weren't sposta be. Thank you Mr. Chapman. I am still alone, but seem to feel it less.

Like what many people have said before me, I would've never found a group of people who are dedicated to what I love to do if it wasn't for Jeff. This site stands as a testament to his intense drive to get people together to share a common interest, and encourage others to join in it. From what's been said, he seems like an incredible person. It's terribly sad to see someone like that leave this world. I would've loved to meet him, I(and many others) owe a sense of gratitude towards him for getting this community together.

RIP Ninj

He was a great community builder in terms of urban exploration. His site introduced me to UE and so many others and his talents at exploring active places were exceptional. RIP Ninj.

Thanks Av, for keeping his memory alive with that great memorial.

I got really into pics of old movie theaters and found forgottenoh.com. the owner of that site had a link to buy "access all areas". I cant remember the turn of events that led to me finding this site but I love it. I never knew that the writer had passed until i signed up here. I wont lie reading this story made me shed a tear cause he sounded like a great guy and one I would love to have met.

I still have an original copy of 2600 Volume 17 Number 3 from Fall of 2000 with his article in the back.

Posted by Louie
He also used to place ads in 2600 Magazine (hacking magazine) that said something like "Try hacking... but in real life" and had a URL for Infiltration. Is anyone else enough of a dork to remember this?
