Looks nice. Probably a great deal since you can do a clutch job cheaper than most of us.
I've got a Jones to spend 1500.00 or less and get a decent mid sized or small car. Recently sold my '69 -not running very blown engine- Toronado. The guy was like Arnie Cunningham when he saw Christine, he insisted in giving me my asking price, (in four payments) said he's been looking for one for years. Mine was awesome, except for the not running thing, so am glad it went to a good guy. For once I made a few bucks on a car sale.
Just looked and drove a Saturn coupe. It started out as a '98, then I checked the door, it said 4/00, so they now say it's an 01.
That pushed it past 1500.00, what the guy first thought it would go for. I try to get them before cleaned up, saves a few hundred if they wholesale it out. They don't sell as is mechanics specials here at the bigger lots. Usually better deals privately though, and now we have to pay higher tax, the same as from dealers.
I know some don't like Saturns, so I'm being cautious, that coupe drove nice, but a four door 95 at another lot was pushing so much blue, something was shot. I kind of like the early wagons, but I know Saturn is nothing to get excited about.
Also tempted by a a 96 Buick with the 3800, low miles 1500.00... heavy on the electronics but not sure about that engine.
I'd prefer 4 cyl 5 speed wagon or hatchback, this is a back up gas saver so I can keep the Tahoe for hauling, camping etc.
Pardon ramble...

my friend Victor (Skylark95 on UER) has a 2001 Saturn coupe... it's a running little beast for a 1.9L DOHC. So far, it's been a damn good car.

Good to know, thanks. And everyone on here knows you deserve a Citation Seriously though, I like that car. Probably most were auto trans, so you have a getting rare collectable.
Funny how names get transferred; Edsel used to make a Citation. Pathfinder was used by Studebaker or another U.S. company.

Posted by Louie heres a guy driving around in one with no muffler, it sounds like an old chopper.
that guy can't drive. that's what a 60-degree V sounds like with a shitty exhaust. i had an 81 X11 when I was in high school... this is what it looked like before the body left on a flatbed:
heres a cool little FYI i learned while being 'that guy' that cut cars in half at a salvage yard for a while.
the fron cross member of the X-11 citation is the same as the grand prix.. so, in theory (bc if havent done it) you can shoehorn the supercharged V6 from the pontiac into a citation. THAT would make a pretty neat-o car

Posted by Durdan yeah, the X-11s were cool. but only the X-11s.

Seen it done. I've also seen the 3.8 SC stuffed into an 88 Cavalier. You see, one of the great things about FWD GM is you can mix and match to your hearts content. Look at the Beretta/Corsica... it was known as an L-body. It had the ass end/floorpan of a Cavalier (J-body) and the subframe out of a Grand Am (N-body). The Fiero (pre-88) had the front subframe out of a Celebrity (A-body) in it's ass and the front suspension out of a Chevette up front... Most FWD GM subframes (with the exception of the biggies- E and K) are just about the same design... it makes replacing things nice. This is also a plus when you're looking to mix and match hardware; i.e. converting a last year Beretta 3100 V6 from a 4 speed automatic to a 5 speed manual sourced from a 94 Z24 3.1L MPFI engine And the engines... as long as you do your homework... It's like the preferred swap for the top end of my 3100 is to find the heads and intake from a 3400 V6 out of a Venture minivan... A (Celebrities) and X (citations) were so close that they are usually in the same repair manual.
