Posted by mega moose I found a 100's of newspapers from world war I in an abandoned farm house in my town. a couple of them were actually from the 1880's, gave some to my teachers and still have the rest in a box in my garage somewhere. they were in really good shape considering they were all stuffed in a closet in a leaky old house, there was a really cool old tv in great shape that looked like it was from the early 1950's, might go grab it over thanksgiving break.

However, you can mildly redeem yourself by handing them over to your local historical society.

^^ If you feel that "redemption" is actually necessary, from a group who wouldn't have gotten to nor found said papers in the first place. Methinks you can do it if you choose to, if you wish, for your own personal reasons; whether you require redemption or not.

Not a UE find as such but it was interesting to find. I remembered my uncle having abandoned an old Ford Escort in my grandmothers garden. It disappeared after that and i assumed he'd scrapped it. Anyways, i came across it again a few years ago, he'd used a bulldozer to bury it in the ditch at the bottom of the garden and i saw the back end sticking out through the bushes one winter. Was nice to see it again.

Floor plans to a large number of universities and hospitals in Georgia (thereby setting up a large number of future explorations). Not really unexpected, seeing as it was the old archives building, but definitely the coolest thing.

Oh, I had one like his when I was 14!!! We even apparently wore the same clothes! It actually looks like I wore his size.

Company documents from the 50's. I love finding stuff like that. The older, the better.
The sign said "Anybody caught trespassin will be shot on sight" So I jumped on the fence and I yelled at the house, "Hey! What gives you the right?" http://www.flickr.com/photos/evman/ |

i would say 4 was stolen, but...uh...it's a fire truck. As in, half the size of a semi or more. So why in the hell is that still there?
"After each of these orgies of living, he experienced all the physical depression which follows a debauch: the loathing of respectable beds, of common food, of a house permeated by kitchen odors; a shuddering repulsion for the flavorless, colorless mass of everyday existence; a morbid desire for cool things and soft lights and fresh flowers." - Willa Cather, "Paul's Case" |

I'd steal that, ethics be damned, if I found that it would be mine.

Quite possible, but it is at a junkyard/Pic-A-Part type of place, same place as that Jaguar in the above pic.1.
of course it being in downtown Birmingham it's quite possible all this stuff is stolen.

When I was younger, my buddy and I were exploring the old Mt. Gretna Playhouse (Demolished/rebuilt in the early 90s). We found hundreds of cool props they used to use in the plays. Everything from costumes to really cool wooden weapons painted to look real.
