Volk TE37's 15x7.5 White. No curb rash. brand new set of goodyear eagle GT's on them. Stolen off my bugeye last night while it was parked in front of our house. There's probably only about 5 sets in the whole country... if you see them please let me know. not sure about offset, but fits only a couple of cars... i think subaru only. Please send the word out. Thanks. -V

i don't know. i was out there in my bath robe talking to the cops. i checked to make sure the engine was still there lol but that's about it. i feel like vomiting every time i look out the window and see it there on blocks. both wheel locks and car alarm failed. 3 blocks from police station.

Fucking hell.

Wheel locks will only slow somebody down, you can hammer a cheap socket onto them to get them off. Thats rough. I've always feared that happening to me one day. My wheels are old now though and are beat up so I worry less. Hope your search goes well. Nice car too.

Why were these rim so rare.. what is unique about them? Hopefully their rarity will assist in tracking them down.

theyre rare in the fact that people normally buy the Volk knock off versions of these wheels and dont want to cough up the cash for legit ones. TE37's arent cheap

they only fit about 3 cars... older impreza's, older legacy's, scion tc. the bolt pattern and offset are what makes them rare. they were originally for my other race car (subaru legacy gt 2001) by a sponsor. i don't think they were ever produced for market.

well staar, i feel your loss, i have to say you are lucky they left it on blocks, the thieves in my neck of the woods will hit an entire car dealer and leave the cars on the ground

Back when my neighborhood was kind of new still, my father had only the two wheels from the drivers side removed on his Nissan Sentra, but the jackasses removed the actual tires and took the rims, then left said tires on the hood. My father had VIN etching done on the interior of the rims so about 3 days later, he gets call from Oregon State Police saying they found his rims trying to be pawned off in Pendelton, Oregon, about 200 miles away.

I didnt know people actually did this. I guess Ive seen one too many movies
|

anyways, moral of the story, dont street park a car with fancy wheels if all you are trusting is the wheel locks

WOW THAT SUCKS! You should post on MotoIQ and Timeattackforums, and anywhere else you can post. Those are HUGE money wheels. For those who wanna know why they are so rare and expensive, read this article and you will be amazed. http://www.motoiq....f-rays-wheels.aspx EDIT: nevermind, posted on those 2 sites for you.

big dave - THANK YOU!!!!!! for cross-posting for me! I posted on about 8 different car forums that I belong to. i own a small [read: dormant at the moment] motorsports business that was founded in 2006, so I have a lot of connections in my web. i'll be surprised if i see those wheels again though. i just can't shake that feeling of wanting to vomit though! ugh!
|
|
all i can say is better to have loved those wheels and lost them than to have never loved them at all

i thought the bolt pattern for an Impreza is 5x100?... most FWD GM is 5x100 with a similar offset. (i've had Impreza wheels on Cavaliers and Sunfires) people just fucking suck. i am very sorry for your loss and hope you catch the fuckers if it's as rare a wheel as you say, they WILL surface. Watch the wannabes in the next few weeks. I guarantee you'll find your wheels. also, will your auto insurance cover the loss of the wheels?

Doubtful in Southern California. The wheels are probably powdercoated and mounted in Riverside by now. Its not upstate everyone knows everyone from the one county line to the other. We dont even know our next door neighbors here.

yeah the bolt pattern is one of the most common on the market. VW uses the same. the difference is the huge offset usually, what is it like 50ish?
|
|
People are pretty pathetic to do that to your car.
