Whats your secret dirty pleasure
< on 6/13/2010 2:02 PM >

What car do you really like but don't like to admit it around ya car buddies or the populace in general and why do you like it?

Mine.

1986 Ford Escort Wagon. It has to be red on red, a 5 speed and have the factory fuzz-in radio.

Why? A lady at our church had one, she was in her 70's easy but she was really nice and came around and picked us up for church events, and other things. That Escort felt secure, and seemed to be able to handle any weather. I can't remember it ever lettin her down. I wish I knew where it was today. I would totally own it.

'88 Camaro IROC-Z. If you can find one without tinted taillights, wolf stickers, "Fear This" banners and greasy NOS seatcovers, they're a pretty neat car. But I'm pretty sure primer was a factory color option.

I also really like the Isuzu I-Mark turbo.

1982? Renault Le Car, orange w/tan interior, torsion bars pulled and reinstalled so she rode on the stops. 3 lug aluminium rims. Dune buggy silencer exiting fender just behind the front tire. Had a lot of good times in that little pile.

Found her sitting in a junk yard a few years after I sold her.......

this looks almost exactly like the one i used to own, if you ever drove the 401 between odessa and kingston between 1995 and 2005, you could see it in a field just east of the wilson ave. exit on the south side. surprisingly it's pretty tough to store a bus like that on rural property without getting thumb-twiddling bylaw officers after you, i lost that battle in '07. if i had it to do over again, id get a 30 footer TDH-3302N and tear out the terrible-flo for a 6V53 and park it in my driveway.

1974 Cadillac,
My grandfather bought one of these for my grandmother right before I was born, she died a few years later, but he kept it the rest of his life.

Minus the dings and dents this could be my first car. I'll always have a soft spot for it.

1970 Plymouth Fury III
I don't know why, I've never even been in one, I just love 'em.

Oh and one more. The Citroen 2CV.

The fact that something so underpowered (The most powerful one ever made had 33 hp), and flimsy (they have the structural rigidity of a tent) can just work so damn well is just impressive.

And the funny thing is, I've driven a 2CV with 5 people in it, and it wasn't any slower than when I was driving it alone.
