Good deal, Sam. Keep drinking water, and w/summer on us if you have a garden you should be able to lose weight much more quickly. Are you exercising? If not, try something easy like walking. BTW, I've just decided I'm going no booze June. Made it 3 days already!
What diet are you doing? I did a low-carb diet a few years ago and lost almost 50 pounds, but I've since put it back. My work schedule doesn't encourage good eating habits, but at least now I walk more than I ever used to.
At the place I used to work we started a weight-loss challenge, since we were all pretty heavy. Everyone put in $10, and whoever lost the highest percentage of body weight after 6 months won the money. It wasn't me. We did percentage of body weight because we had two guys who were over 300 pounds, and they could lose 10 just by taking a dump.
Exploring is good exercise!

not really doing a 'diet', just not eating shitty food.
We did a challenge at work also and they gave us pedometers to wear. Goal was a combo of at least 5 servings of fruits and or vegies a day and 10 miles of walking. It was easy since most of the 10 miles was done on work hours. It just a matter of hitting 10 miles on the days off. I saw a huge difference in my weight just with the added walking.
A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.
I've lost very close to 40 pounds after downloading the Calorie Counter application for my phone. It's linked to a website called fatsecret.com. After limiting the calories I take in each day, I started adding more rules for myself. No high fructose corn syrup, no mammals, and very few fried and processed foods. I would probably lose more weight if I stopped drinking Diet Coke altogether and stopped drinking whiskey and eating pizza on Friday nights, but I'm pretty happy so far.

Why Diet Coke? A friend of mine invented a zero-carb drink that was so tasty we named it after him: Jones. All it is is vodka and Diet Squirt over ice, in proportions you find appealing. Usually 1:1. No carbs! I assume Diet Coke would work too, but it doesn't taste as good with vodka.
Michelob Ultra isn't bad either, for a light beer.

Cutting the HFCS is huge. I'm basically skinny/lankey but might have a handle or two every now and then. Just going a week or two without corn syrup everyday melts like 10 lbs off me. It's tricky though, it's in lots of stuff besides pop/soda like bottled juice and iced teas.

being a type 2 diabetic automatically means that i can't have that shit. fucking HFCS is in the weirdest shit.
There's evidence that artificial sweeteners make you feel more hungry. They think it's because your body expects a sugar rush from the taste but doesn't receive it. Not sure.

Pull out of the funk dude. We want to see swimsuit pics soon.
No we don't!
Seriously, though, we should start a UER weight-loss challenge. I'd be willing to run it if people are interested.

My worst is 340lbs. I'm bringing it down and my goal is to be down to 220lbs. According to my doctor, that should be my ideal fighting weight.
Good luck Sam.
Dang! Have you thought about gastric bypass surgery? My wife had it done and lost like 130 pounds. I still have trouble recognizing her.
