Does anyone know where to find a 3" body lift kit for a 1995 Toyota pickup (Hilux) truck 4wd,automatic, extended cab. Preferably located close to the Niagara Region. I found a few on American sites but shipping is very expensive from the US. I have found a few Canadian sites that sell lift kits but not for this model of truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's a couple of specialty places in the Hamilton area that are great 4x4 and off road shops.
I believe there is National 4wd and National 4x4
I would also suspect any parts supplier (Napa, Canadian Tire, Partsource) should be able to order one through Keystone

Four Wheel Parts Wholesalers is where I get most of my parts. They are online, and There really is not much to a Body lift. How expensive is shipping?
You can see a million miles tonite, but you can't get very far.

I's actually my friends truck and I am just helping him locate the parts. I will take a trip to Hamilton and check out the National 4wd and National 4x4 and I think he checked with Canadian Tire and Napa with no luck. Thanks Oddspot.
I checked the Four Wheel Parts Wholesalers site (who actually had reasonable shipping to Canada... $32 which is less than half of what other American sites charge, well at least the few my friend found anyways) They had a lift kit for this truck but unfortunately only for manual transmission and his truck is auto. I am not sure if there is an easy modification that could be done to make the manual kit work. Thanks cr400.
jeepdave - My friend said, out of frustration for not being able to locate the parts, that he would just use pucks if he could make the extensions for the steering and gear shift.

Never heard of using hockey pucks before. Great Idea, damn rednecks are plenty smart ....Damn...
I'll bet they provide that cheap vinyl shift boot for the manual version.
For the auto, just figure out a way to extend the linkeage, or lay under and shift to drive and reverse for a few days or so. Till you figure it out.

One of us can get a body lift for you, and ship it to another UER member that can take it over the border for you. Who on this site do you know on this side of the border? This is easy.

Personally I'm not a body lift fan, stress on the mounts, btw. There is a right and wrong way to use pucks, and I wouldn't ever personally go over 2"s really.

I will see if my friend will be able to link up the shifter and use the manual kit and then go from there.

Ive used body lifts for manuals, on automatics before. The only thing we had to do was notch the body a little for the 4x4 shifter to go into 4low. Im sure thats why the kits are for manuals only, to cater to people who dont know how to use a dremel. Im positive itll work.

I don't think he really wants to do this but he bought this truck a few weeks ago and it came with shitty tires and he wants to put his other tires on from his old truck but they are too big. He figured that lifting the body so his tires would fit is a lot cheaper than buying new tires.

Blocks and if its IFS, crank up the bars. If leafs all around he may be able to lift it on the cheap using junkyard leafs. I just don't like body lifts. And since yall are in the rust belt, I don't think its gonna be fun

being the toyota its IFS, if your doing a body lift make the extentions out of steel and cut to fit, then use body mounts to keep it stock feeling. but i wouldnt go over 2", actually i suggest staying away from it altogether.
just trim fenders instead, looks cooler too if done right, and keeps you more stable. (i say this as a guy who flopped his 4runner in the trail a few times)
anyways, stay away from national4wd, heavily overpriced.
why dont you get the rear springs arched, (other options are blocks, chevy springs)
and for the front you can get ball joint spacers. we used them in a 93 4runner and they were safe
