Spoilers below
Ok it was an allright movie but can someone please explain the end to me? It's got me baffled. The only thing I can think of is the old man is somehow related to the monsters. I felt like I missed something that would explain the connection. I wish they had just left it alone after the first, which is a classic. Having Juno still be alive was a pretty cool twist tho.

i won't even give this sequel my time...the first one was fantastic, with palpable claustrophobia and dread. the original, U.K. ending is the best ending and it negates a need for a sequel.

I watched the first one the day before exploring the Oreo, a large abandoned factory in Cleveland. Ironically, I had a night-vision camcorder with me. I was alone, and afraid to go into the dark places. Though I did notice one glaring error: yeah, they used the night-vision to see the creatures, but the camcorder's screen puts out visible light, which would be visible to the creatures, right?

They were totally blind.

Yup. Thus why they couldn't see the fire of the torches in the first one. Though I'm sure they could have felt the heat...

Then why didn't they just use flashlights? Or had they lost them?

Their flashlights were lost and they were reduced to using their camcorder, primitive torch & glo sticks (though pro cavers probably don't call them glo sticks) **spoiler**
So at the end of Descent 2 you find out this old creepy mountain man/miner is feeding the creatures. Earlier in the movie you hear him say his grandfather went down into the mine/cave and never came out. So I'm thinking he's somehow related to the cave creatures..... basically they just set it up for a part 3.

I wonder if any of them will say "my precious!"

There's a pretty funny (intentional or not) scene at the end when the women nearly make it out, only to have the cave exit blocked by a huge, muscle-bound cave creature complete with ripped abs and deep, basso growl. He kind of looked like the toxic avenger.

Finally saw it!! Hahahaha oh my god it was so baaaad! It started out ok. I thought they'd be able to possibly pull it off without being too cheesy. Nope. The longer I sat through it, the more ridiculous it got. OH MY GAWD SPOILERS The poop scene. Seriously lol wtf. The ending was funny too. She's free then BAM two seconds later she ends up getting eaten anyway because of the creepy guy. FAIL!
