i took a loan off my 401k this week to spruce up my Beretta and Cobalt. For the Beretta, I finally am going to pay for my BF Goodrich Radial T/A's, buy a set of aluminum wheels, replace the front brakes and rotors, windshield, paint the car and get the stripes painted on. For the Cobalt SS, it's a set of wheels, Stage II kit, urethane motor mounts and maybe the fenders I have been eying for a year or so.
Man you have some good power mods planned, but fenders? How about something having to do with brakes or a roll bar? Youve gotta be going pretty fast now, even faster after stage 2. Gotta slow down, or survive failure to slow down!

look into upgraded suspensio and brakes, i assume by stage 2 you mean youl be adding an intake and full exhaust as well as software?
the Beretta is the car that i drive 90% of the time... i don't drive my Cobalt that much anymore. There has to be some investment in that car, so i figure this will keep me happy with the car.
Good points, you guys, but the brakes, believe it or not, are pretty good. They are sourced off the larger, heavier Epsilon body (malibu, 9-5) and handle stoppage well. I went 77,000 miles before I changed pads and rotors and the rotors weren't warped. I probably will never put a roll bar in the car as i don't want to alter the car too much. It's a comfortable touring car as well. I just want a little extra power. The fenders are FRP's and are a bit lighter than the sheetmetal ones (or so the manufacturer claims). They have a nice cut in them. (no not a Z3 cut. )
just put money into the beretta the keep it running safely, youl enjoy the cobalt more if you put that money into instead of repainting the beretta. go stage 3
it wouldn't matter in Don's case... he 100% 1/4miler. I was out on I-87 yesterday and got smoked by a sleeper SS on the fly. He had the 'Supercharged' emblem pulled off and had a Stage II kit under the hood. good guy, though. the car was that nice Sunburst Orange Metallic.
Ive been reading about the Cobalt SS and i wouldnt mind having one myself. I confess I was looking at prices on ebay last night. When i was in NY, my rental car was a blueish purple Cobalt 4 door, and ive gotta admit it was fun for me to drive it. I rented a Malibu LTZ and that was a damn nice car to sit in.

i was looking for bottom line price... all four wheels came out to be $279 out the door. I like a five-spoke wheel better than a 6 or 7 spoke... this wheel fit the bill.
