Sled Dogs with offroad tires and suspension. Plus dogs are very useful for protection against people and critters. But their not to much help against zombies!!!

Keeping a team of dogs fed and watered would be tough!

Funny, I only think of snow as that stuff I drive up to and play in for the day.
I'll bet my sled team would not be happy running for miles in 85 degree weather.

Maybe LLamas, plus they eat grass.

The grass will all be scorched.

I'd use a Tercel and my sidekicks would be group of vicious cats. The cats will eat the meat of those who perished in the apocalypse, and when the combined power of these angry, vicious cats is combined, they can also pull the Tercel if it runs out of fuel. Cuz it won't break.

i think i have found the best vehicle choice for tooling around the countryside after the zombie apocalypse, or whatever apocalypse happens to stumble into your neighborhood.
it's called a "skidder" and it's a bad ass, albeit slow moving, piece of machinery that is fearless in any terrain.

I'm still kinda liken' this. Light, nimble, trail rated, decent MPG, room for two and supplies.

I won't need to defend against zombies if I've got a hunnert mile buffer zone between me and them, so they can't smell my brain........
