Contrary to what these pictures depict, your face isn't too terrible to look at.

Good shots.

It must be nice, as a photographer, to always have a model on hand!

#1 is my fave, but they are all awesome.

Thanks guys.

I don't know why, but i almost unconsciously prefer pictures of myself that don't show my face. And doing self portraits is a bit more of a hassle than doing regular portraits, unless I somehow become capable of out of body experiences.

You know, there is something about 6 that I really like. Perhaps it has something to do with the appearance of isolation.

Number 7 nearly gives me vertigo! I like that shot.

Thanks for sharing the great pix!

i think the seated position with legs bent is a great pose for you because you have great legs that go on forever. that combined with the vulnerability of the seated pose works very well in all the above pictures. but i also think the averted and covered face only works in #6. i can imagine a woman trapped, alone, exhausted, frightened or sad in a featureless forgotten room but in the other pictures you seem to be consciously avoiding the camera lens especially #1. #2 and #4 you can stretch a bit as a figure study but there just isnt anything else in #1 to go with the face aversion, it just looks out of place.

i have seen pictures of your face on deviantart. you have near perfect symmetry, clear unblemished porcelain skin and fine wispy hair; our own perception of our appearance is rarely if ever objective. i think a slight aversive tilt of the head and a wide-eyed contact with the camera in #1 would engage the viewer better while conveying a similar vulnerability, unless you had other objectives... which whatever they were, are not clear to me...

good composition, colour, lighting, etc. you would make a very good life model if you can twist-up your poses a bit and mix them up. the pale skin and good muscle tone do good things with sunlight and shadow. #7 takes the least advantage of those, making it the weakest as a self-portrait IMO (#6 being my favourite)
