That's interesting. What would the government need to own a barn for? Maybe they are storing WMDs in there. Maybe the barn will open later this year and end the world.

It is obviously hiding a secret entrance to the even secret-er abandoned government nuclear missile transport tunnels that go ALL OVER THE STATE, I SWEAR.
The other entrance is under the Xcel building in Denver.
Or maybe it's a regular barn, but PROBABLY NOT.
the tunnels actually lead to a secret thermite-fueled power station that is disguised as a different barn. The offices are in a gas station about a hundred feet away. FIND THE OTHER BARN NOW, SOMEBODY.

Barn migration is actually a pretty slow process, compared to the time it takes us to get around. Seeing as how the aliens are involved, and the moving of these barns so that they can proceed to colonize all of the city folk, is along a timeline in which you wouldn't be able to say "that barn just moved".
Because that would be a dead give-away, and those barns are smarter than that!
