I hate when kids get sick. My 2 year old has a fever and has been laying on the couch all day. And my 5 year old has been puking all day while sitting on our lazy-boy all day
I feel so crappy that I can't ease their little pains away.
*sniff* It's been a long day so far.

p.s Cuddling a 2 year old with a fever gets pretty hot after 5 minutes

I feel your pain... I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old (and a 1 year old) and it is very difficult when only one of them is sick, but both at the same time would be just awful. We use Pedeolite (sp) freezies when the kids are sick. They don't mind taking them, they help fight dyhydration, and they're easy on the stomach. It's a little easier then getting them to drink the pedeolite drinks. Have you tried to break the fever? How do you do it? We tend to strip the kid down, and use a wet/cold cloth to give a 'sponge' bath focusing under the armpits, behind the knees, bottom of the feet, forehead, and back. It works well to lower the temperature by about a degree or two, better and easier then a cold bath.

Love the stuff. Got us through a NASTY 6 days of virulent DC stomach flu.

Yeah I remember when I was little my mom threw me in to a cold tub at 1 in the morning. Worst feeling ever. I have found the only medicine that actually breaks a fever for my kids is Motrin. Aside from that, I strip them to their undies and do the quick-wipe with the washcloth and leave them to dry.
