Amazon and B&H get stuff to me in one to two days! (okay, maybe they do charge quite a lot for shipping, I will give you that)

Actually, I think 4sevens takes into account that he lives in Australia, and they make sure that everything is carefully packed upsidedown and backwards; thus increasing the time it takes to receive the product. I mean, think about it. They have to tape over all the "this end up" things and reprint them on the other end. =D

I swear I did not laugh at that.

^^ LIAR! lulz. I laughed while writing it... **EDIT** After sharing this story with applesnail I figured I should post it up here. I went out tonight with a buddy to find the Bakersfield BATCAVE out on the bluffs. A place I'd found reference to and the general location of, but couldn't find anyone else who'd heard of it. We met up around 6:00pm, and by 6:30 when we got over there and parked, it was already pitch black dark outside. I had offered to let him use my HP10 headlamp, and he was like "no thanks, I just got the most awesome headlamp, its SO bright, and it was pretty expensive". So he showed me his 60lm petzl light he got, and I oohed and aahed over it in the appropriate fashion. He was enjoying shining it around and seeing things light up under it. Then he says "so what'd you bring?" I pulled out my HP20 (strapped to my helmet), put my helmet on, and clipped the battery pack to my belt, and turned it on which created a BRILLIANT BEAM OF LIGHT @ ~240lm shining out across the ground, completely obscuring the light from his petzl. He, being up-to-date on internet memes, immediately scowled at me and said "Oh...I see what you did there" D: Then I think he got an idea, and asked which one I was *going* to let him borrow, upon which I pulled out the HP10 and my L2p, and turned them on. I could swear his facial features visibly wilted at seeing my 3 high-output LED's shining around. I lol'd pretty good right about then, cruel as it was. I asked if he'd still like to borrow my HP10, but he declined. And good for him! The other memorable quote of the night. I was putting on my kneepads and clipping them to the custom quick release buckles I had sewn to my pants. He said "um, don't you think that's a little hardcore for this?" 10 minutes later as we were half-sliding down the steep section above the bluffs, and scrambling around on hands and knees above the cliff, he was yelling "DUDE, I WISH I HAD SOME KNEE PADS RIGHT ABOUT NOW!!!" *grins*

I have been thinking of purchasing an 800 lumen light and have narrowed it down to 2 choices, both can operate on 2 18650 rechargeable batteries: The Fenix TK35 - 820 lumens The Jet Beam BC40 - 830 lumens Does anyone have any experience with either of these? I am looking for as wide a flood as possible. It seems like the Fenix TK35 is a popular choice but the Jet Beam sounds good too? Any Thoughts?

I've got a TK40 and absolutely love it. Owned 600 and 1200 lumen lights before from SolarForce, and the Fenix is so much better. Build quality is amazing and its extremely durable & waterproof. highly recommended

Nice, thanks for the input. I ended up ordering the Fenix TK35 and a few rechargeable 18650 batteries. I'll post a few pics using it once it arrives. It looks like the flat body design will be good for staying put when resting on a sloped surface.

That TK35 looks nice. Much as I like JetBeam, the TK35 would probably be my choice, too.

Thanks for the input, the TK35 arrived last week. Upon examining the light it's clear that it means business. She's made entirely of aluminum and is sealed with a quality rubber gasket, so far I'm thrilled with it! The switches are very logical and choosing different brightness settings is simple. The spill is wide and the throw relatively short, yee! Fist pump! Here is a shot with it:

Lighting is getting so stupid cheap. I just got a 1200 lumen headlamp on eBay for $25 shipped. It was probably made by a small child in China, will die if it ever touches water, and I'll have to change the 4 AAs every hour....but goddamnit, I'll see in the dark, no matter how large the drain. It's getting hard to justify spending Fenix money on lights, quality or not. Besides, when the cheapies die, it's an excuse to go shopping. God I love light shopping. I love this headlamp, too. Zoomable, with a very cool, slightly purplish tone from its Cree XML.

The TK35 looks awesome been debating between the TK and the LD41 for a while now. This is the only image I could find comparing the two. The LD uses AA's which is nice, but the TK seems like its more compact. http://i636.photob...meron/LD41TK35.jpg
