I love this forum too... as much as we ridicule each other for our preference in vehicles, I think we're a pretty close bunch.

Well heres an example of an instance involving a Tex member I've seen post. Some douchebag paramedic had this god awful jetta and the alarm kept going off everytime a car with an exhaust passed it. Any ways we were pointing at the car trying to figure out who owned it so theyd disarm it, and he saw this and walked up and threw a fit screaming WHY THE FUCK YOU POINTING AT MY CAR WHAT THE FUCKS YOUR PROBLEM and threatened to beat the shit out of my buddy. After realising that he was alone and we were a large group he stopped acting as hostile, and let us disarm his car. At the end of the night some muscle dick ended up tossing him a beating.

Another prominent Vortex member threw a beer bottle at some ones car, kicked some guys gf, before getting rushed by a bunch of people and pinned to the ground till the police came.

There is a guy on the Isuzu Planet forums that drives me nuts on electrical questions. He insists that ALL Isuzus need to run at 14V instead of 13.8V. That is not even remotely true.

Most of the technical write ups on Vortex are for idiots who dont know how to work on cars. Theres a write up for changing fuses. There is not one thing i can learn from that dumb place, other than VAGCOM shit.

The only two forums on Vortex I use are the New Beetle and Aircooled ones... people are decent in there. The Car Lounge is ok for a good laugh, too... but it's filled with Camry driving idiots that think they know things about cars since they bought an appliance.

They sound like the type of owners that beleive there is in fact factory trained technicians at the dealer...

The only thing a technician would learn at a factory is people pay too much for cars.

i've never understood that concept... 'factory trained' technicians.
have any of you ever been to an assembly factory? Where's the training?

Welll I know with BMW they send one techn from each dealer to germany for a week to learn about a new tool or car, and then he comes back and trains the other techs.

I'm sure there is also a component of hands on training on site for new cars being introduced. About 6 years ago I applied and interviewed for a job to lead the team responsible for such at BMW Canada
