I thoroughly enjoyed this meet. The site was lovely and decrepid and everyone was friendly. I look forward to the next one!

I'd like a copy of that setup. Nice use of HDR. Tripod, I assume...

I'll have to give the nod to #3.

I live here... well not in the roundhouse but right next to it... close enough to where I see the graffiti artists at night but they have started to do some work in the field this place is located in it looks like they are trying to build up the land for some reason im guessing they are going to be trying to build stuff soon and they have been working double time to lock up schlage in the same field (at least whats left of it) So in my opinion if you want to see this stuff while its still there now is the time to do it you probably wont be able to get into schlage but I got pictures of it from roughly two months ago before there was an electrical fire in the building no clue what happened to it, but a warning if you want to try for an early morning explore they have been having some one sit in a car and watch the back of the schlage building since the fire happened, I'm fairly sure hes security of some sort.... not very good but still hes there, doesn't seem like hes there every night though.

That PG&E building up the street from the roundhouse looks 100x more interesting. Not abandoned but crazy huge machinery visible through the windows up top

This is right in that area also, like a half mile away (not the same as the train tunnel):

They recently started a bunch of construction out there -- the Roadhouse I'm sure will stick around but it might get more "secured" depending how much they develop in that field.

I had been to this spot twice before I realized there were two tunnels within walking distance of this spot (one being the train tunnel in this post, the other being the service tunnel in my previous post):

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

Did you get in!?!?! It looks like you're standing next to a POE in number one. Which is a big no no here. Maybe you should go over to the Rookie Forum and read up on what's sanctioned here & what's not.

Not trying to be a dick. Just some friendly advice.

There is a thead you're missing and thanks for the location guybrush. It's called the former SCHLAGE LOCK company. Let me check this out... I'd been in before when it was a complete building but empty of equipment, but not without getting kicked out, oops. Ok this poe that is shown is a third floor window. Not a problem-good camera work, fooled the eye perfectly. There was once a semi massive building attached to what you see here, and then this opening would have worked. See the google satellite map to see before it changes. Interesting that they cut it off as if to preserve it, then it gets painted comepletely from inside to outside (and I missed this era of decay), and now security measures have been taken, which is where we are now.

We didn't have masks that day, so we didn't go in. It smelled bad from the outside also, so definitely a place for masks. That POE is gone now. We went back a second time, and it was boarded up much more securely. Does that still count as a no-no if the POE has since been removed? I removed the image for now, but I'll put it back if you think that's ok.

Thanks for the advice, no offense taken!

As Mr. Kanai said, "it's a third floor window." So there's no harm no foul. It's really a rad pic. You should throw it back up before you can't modify your post.

I see what you mean about the extra extension of building being there. Wish I had known about this location back then... Thanks for the summary!

I was in there shortly before they boarded it up (maybe a month prior) I havent posted my photos for it, only on the DB (figured everyone here has been there being how easy it was) and that is not a thrid story window, that is on the ground floor.... They have seriously boarded it all up now, there was a fire in there recently (electrical I think) after the fire they boarded it up hardcore and posted a guard outside at night kids were climbing on the roof to paint, the guard is no longer there it would seem.

And I dont really see why you would need a mask for bird pewps, it didn't really have a smell... compaired to some of the places Ive been.... and by " extension" doyou mean the old "extension" that was almost 3 blocks long? :p
