Well I will be going solo in Jan or Feb. With that in mind (and the fact I only get to see my daughter and fiance about once a month and only for a few days at a time) I decided its time for me to start making real friends across this country. I will be running mostly east of the rockys an Canada. So here is what I figured. Anytime I will be in a place for a little while I will post it here. If anyone wants to come by and have a beer an shoot the shit knock ya self out. Also I figure if I'm running between members on here and they want something small delivered to another member I can pull that off as well (but I'm not UPS so it won't be timely or in brown shorts). Its just a thought. So what do yall think? Good idea, bad idea, batshit crazy idea?

I think it's kind of a cool idea and I'd think it'd be great.
Dunno how Sam would feel, but sure, why not.
Although, I don't see you coming this far northeast unless you're hauling either paper, trees or chemicals, but who knows?

We run some out of Maine so its possible. Plus ya first year here they give you shit runs which is usually the NE (nothin against yall, just hell for drivers up there). Like I said I'll just post it on here what HWY I'm on the exit an the truckstop. Won't be till the first of the year (as I have a strange co driver right now, very strange).

Do you ever do loads for Colgate Palmolive? Part of my job working security is at a distribution center run by Jacobson Companies working the gatehouse checking in and out trucks.

lol...Okay. Yeah, upstate NY (upstate as in way upstate) gets shitty pretty soon, so you'll probably end up here.
If you don't mind answering, what company do you drive for? (nevermind, you answered already.  )
I ask because Samurai and I work for International Paper and we often see Maersk, JB Hunt, Tango, Swift and probably 20 other trucking lines come in. Well, I do more than he does, he works in the pulp mill area. I work near the shipping loading dock area of the warehouse of the plant and wrap rolls for shipment to customers. Never know, you might get a load from us one of these days. 
Also, I do get trucking carrier information on my order information screens at work and I have seen that company listed before, so it's quite possible you might end up in Ticonderoga, NY.

I think is one of the carrier options on our computer. I'll check on my next shift there.
I mostly see Swift, Gordon, Mays, Hub Group, Werner, JB Hunt, and a regional company called Team Campbell. I do get some drivers from SC; he was with Swift I believe.

There's a collection of Russian drivers who come through my facility and it wouldn't surprise me if they were doing some smuggling.

I worked for an electrical contractor, all of the upper managment was Russian

Update. I quit. Done OTR for now. And done with this company period. Not going into details really but we just didn't mesh real well. Meh. Hope I can get out there in a few years folks. Take it easy, I am lol.
