A variation of the old California baja bug. Any bug prior to the super beetle works great, the kits are cheap and bugs are still plentifull.

The larger tyres give it the proportions of a Lego car. When your vehicles start looking like the toys you had when you were twelve, you know you're doing something right.

Like a wrecked TT to make the bug into a quattro? hehehe

See, I already have a spare bug so I may as well work with what I've got instead of buying car #27 or whatever I'm at....

meaty snow tires, fat mud flaps and a block heater will be in order, too.

I was thinking of a rear seat delete with a diamond plate cargo bed...

Bandi, without going crazy, how much ground clearance do you think you could give the Bug and have it maintain pretty decent handling? Also, any AWD kits for it?

There's a 3" lift kit available and from what I've heard, not much difference in handling.

I did a pretty massive lift on my "Wintercel" last winter, worked GREAT. I don't think I have a pic on this computer but it's on the board somewhere.
