Although yes they've signed a couple free agents, traded away a few players and have a new GM that will hopefully turn this team around i just don't see the Leafs going anywhere yet. There's too many powerful teams in the Eastern Conference. For example...New Jersey with the ageless Brodeur, Washington with some Ovechkin guy and Pittsburgh with Crosby and Malkin just to name a few. Even if the leafs squeaked in the playoffs in a bottom seed, 6th, 7th, 8th or whatever, we know they're done first round for sure. I'm a Leafs fan for life, but let's prepare for a bumpy ride.

And now they've signed on Kessel (formerly of the Bruins) which seems to be a good addition. Yea, sure they've taken on a few good men, but I doubt they will make it to the end (I am not and will never be a Leafs fan, but at least I don't say too much bad shit about 'em). I'm thinking that there will be Boston, Pittsburgh, Detroit and Washington in the playoffs at least..

this will be a rebuilding year for the Leafs and the Islanders as well.

Yep Mr. Phil Kessel is now a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Let's just hope that he can be offensive push the Leafs need this year. I have to agree with Samurai though when he said about the Leafs re-building this year, but i must say after watching a few pre-season Leaf games so far i am impressed. Maybe the Leafs might surprise everyone this year and sneak into a bottom seat in the playoffs. I don't see this happening, but stranger things have happened so who knows. What i do know is that we have a new very respectable General Manager in Mr. Brian Burke and we hope he's gonna steer this boat in the right direction. Hey, if he brought a Stanley Cup to the Anaheim Ducks, hopefully he can bring one to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Pre-season was pretty good for the Leafs, I'll have to admit. The game they played against Montreal the other night definitely showed promise even if they lost by one point.

haha... wow that's a big no-no... then again, I like the Habs (since I was 4) and I also like the Bruins, which is a big no-no...

Well this is an outrage! That's like hanging a Rangers jersey next to an Islanders jersey.

Nooooo not the Bruins! Hehe just kiddin' the Bruins aren't too bad. I watch a few of their games here and there, but haven't really been a religious fan since the Ray Bourque days.
