I'm not too worried about it. Thanks for the concern, though.

I'm new to the site but have done a bit of Urbexing in the area. Lately I've been spending a lot of time on Google Maps looking for places and I've compiled a list of about thirty possibilities. I usually go with my girlfriend but she's not hooked like I am so would anyone be interested in a meetup?

Are you talking about US Pipe? It's on 24 just west of Chattanooga proper? They've fairly well gutted that building, and they may still have a guard stationed. That said, you'll never know unless you try!

I went about a week ago and there are signs about Walden security and PM alarms but I saw no evidence of either.

Wow. ok. A. The US Pipe is awesome, but they do have guards, I used to be one as well as the old EPB building downtown which is amazing (if they haven't knocked it down yet, I know they were talking about it 3 years ago when I worked there also as a guard. Also several other old downtown buildings and some cool houses in North Chatt and Highland Park areas worth exploring. B. The Parkway Towers are now project housing DON"T GO THERE! LOL. And C. The kid who was "trying to photograph the skyline" was an "acquaintance" of mine. And he was on LSD when he climbed the Majestic Theater and "fell" off. So stay away from drugs and you should be OK. Anything else I can help with feel free to contact me. Chatt is where I started doing UE while I was in college there. However I could never find my way into the rumored "Chattanooga underground", so if anyone has pics that would make my day.

The Parkway Towers aren't Section 8 ("Project Housing"). You're thinking of "The Towers on the west side (the other side of 27). Also Asher, the kid who fell, fell at Parkway towers. The Majestic Theater hadn't been built when that happened.

I do agree that the site is now in a pretty bad condition. Did not see a guard though. There is still some sheds there, so maybe they use it for storage and they need a guard?

The two building on the North side of the site are used for storage but I never saw any guards.

New here... had a membership for a while but hadn't used it yet.. in Chattanooga.. East side. Anyone thought on having a group meetup somewhere neutral just to chat (saw the post on the meetup at CityCafe a coupla years ago - missed that one). Wouldn't mind meeting others to get some fresh ideas.

We've been doing the S. Side so far.. found some pretty fresh areas - just old enough that the mildew was juuuust starting to form.

Also, some decent places between Dunlap and Soddy that are interesting.

Looking for more turn of the century - depression era ..

Also interested in caves, coke mines/ovens - cemeteries are fair game as well - the more overgrown the better. Getting into the winter months.. reptiles will be out of the picture soon.

Know this is alot to pack into a newbie thread.. and some may be suspicious of answering so your potential scepticism is understood. ;)

Hey folks! New here also. Been to several places so far, and have fortunately been able to meet a couple of you guys. Just wanted to say hello. I typically explore near downtown and caves. What's the creepiest place you guys have ever been in? 1.

Hi all, I've been in Chattanooga for about three years and have been exploring solo for the most part. I'd love to meet up with some of y'all and maybe go exploring.
