So years ago when i was a young teenager I built my own site, long gone now but it was pretty advanced for its time (lol 1999) last year on an impulse I bought a site and got a DECENT deal on it but had no clue how to make a nice site for today's standards. Ive spent countless hours on it, it still looks like shit and my photos arent even that good... (I'm impulsive) blah here it is: http://www.fatamorganaphotography.com Someone told me about Joomla which doesnt require HTML skills but I am too impaitent to read it (I will eventually) I'm not really sure what Im going to do now because the site expires in May and with the way things are right now I probably can't afford to renew (the girl who told me about Joomla offered to HOST me.... so I got it made)

It's a content management system (CMS) which allows you to easily manage your content from a web GUI. There are various modules for it that expand the capabilities, such as WYSIWYG editors, photo galleries, news posts, blogs, etc... Drupal is another CMS, very much like Joomla. I've used them both for a little bit... They both work well. It's just a matter of which interface you prefer. Google both and find their websites. They both have demos which allow you to create/modify test data. Try them out and see if you like them. -Me!
