Oh absolutely!

Now because i'm curious of your answer let me ask you a question. Let's say your the current owner of the Phoenix Coyotes and wish to move the team to a city of your chosing (canadian or american). If you had to move the team to a city no questions asked, which city would you re-locate to? Do you believe that as of right now there is a canadian or american city with enough of a hockey fan base to support an NHL franchise?

Hartford, Connecticut
they miss the Whalers.
I miss the Whalers.

I do miss the Whalers aswell, but it would take alot of money from various investers to bring a team back there again. Very good choice though i must say. I'd much prefer see a team back in Hartford rather than Hamilton.

Hartford has the investors lined up, and even has an arena ready to go... they just need an NHL franchise looking for a new home for the right price.
Of course, Winnipeg and Quebec City are also missing the old NHL magic, too.

Actually yeah just read that there is investors interested in bringing another NHL team to Conneticut. This is very good news! Hopefully they work something out in the future and get it done because the fans are there, they just need the monies.

I see a possibility of an NHL team back in Winnipeg in the near future, but Quebec City i highly doubt. One problem is when the Nordiques were in Quebec they had the smallest market in the NHL, and the second smallest market in North America only behind Green Bay, Wisconsin. Another problem is that the Nordiques couldn't seem to escape the shadow of the Montreal Canadiens. The Canadiens were by far the more superior and popular team.

I have heard rumors about people wanting a team back in Quebec city, but like i said i highly doubt they'll get a team back there again. However, regardless of rumors i would love to see another team back there myself.

it's funny... Glens Falls NY just landed an AHL franchise. There had always been hockey in Glens Falls, but the Adirondack Red Wings left and the the Frostbite (UHL) left... the Philadelphia Phantoms were looking for a home (Flyers farm team) and Glens Falls NY gave them what they wanted. So now, for a small market, we have the Albany River Rats and the Adirondack Phantoms... not too shabby.

Geez is that ever confusing to me for some reason. So the Albany River Rats play out of Albany, New York and the Adirondack Phantoms play out of Glens Falls, New York.
That is indeed very funny because Albany and Glens Falls are what an hour away from each other? I'm not exactly sure the distance, but it's gotta be no more than 50-60 miles or so between the 2 teams.

I had read stories about this and wanted to know if you have heard anything about this.
Apparently, Glens Falls is only a temporary home for the Adirondack Phantoms. The group of investors controlling the team eventually want to have the team moved to Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.
Not sure the reason myself, but i'm sure it has something to do the AHL affiliate being closer to the Philadelphia Flyers.

I think my top cities both in Canada and the U.S. would be, Winnipeg(take the coyotes home!), Quebec, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Seattle, and yes, Hamilton.

Hmmmm i have never actually thought about Milwaukee or Seattle as a possible home to an NHL team, but those 2 do have potential. Both have MLB and NBA teams, and one has an NFL team so they both could probably be home to an NHL franchise.
