Sam, How about an E36 M3? You can get one in good condition for about what you'd get for the cobalt, and with a fresh suspension, it's probably the most fun you can have with your pants on. http://estorilblue.net/main.htm

Every ford fan knows that the festiva is way better than the fiesta as far as performance shitboxes go.

years ago, my friend Billy had a fleet of these... you'd be surprised at how much fun they are to drive and throw around a back road.

You gotta open up, man! There are so many other great cars out there if you would just be a little more open. I mean take me for example. I am a genuine, hardcore, foaming at the mouth Porsche-phile. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't take a camaro or mustang if I were given the chance (provided they have a V8). There's no reason to be so adamant in sticking with only one nationality of car manufacturers. Go out an test a Porsche 944 Turbo or BMW M3. You might be surprised. Just because I love german cars doesn't mean I would totally dismiss a Corvette or Camaro SS. You should do the same.
If Abercrombie suddenly decided that breathing wasn't cool, Half of American teens would have died within the past 24 hours. |

i understand what you are saying and a two door 3-series from the last 8 years looks great, it's just not what I am into. If Nismo wasn't such a fuckstick lately, I might tell you that I would to get my hands on an AE86 variant or a Datsun 510 coupe or even, oh heaven forbid, a 240SX... BMW never has never really been 'my thing'.

I like ae86s Im helpign a friend build one at the moment

It looks like every other AE86 out there. Congrats on not being original.

I know, I use to have a 80 model. Damned thing would boil the left front tire ( all 12" rim of it ) down to the cords. I let someone borrow it and they lost it. No shit, they got trashed and couldn't find it the next day. They gave me $500 bucks ( 200 more than I paid for it ) but could not find the damn thing. Never showed up at any local impounds or wrecking yards. To this day its a mystery lol.

LOL, you know, I have really never made that connection. But that is pretty much what happened. And this was back around 1999/2000. Hmmmmmmmmm.

i didn't mean the car type, just the fact that he had a real "dude, where's my car?" moment.

Sam, After this weekend, there's an even better chance I'll own a Ford someday soon. My mom just bought an '08 Mustang (base trim, 4.0L V6... I know, little pony, but she's ecstatic with it anyway). She let me take it for a spin. I was astounded at the overall comfort in the car, the seats had great support, and the overall fit and finish was plenty good without being luxurious. It's limited around 115mph (hit a little above, but it really crapped out and slowed down to 115ish). It was a blast to drive and pretty damn fast. 115mph didn't even feel like triple digits because it drove so well. I may be a convert yet... we'll have to see if I can ever get a test drive of a Challenger...
