Police Protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves.
Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the Crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

i've said it before and i say it again, gun control laws do nothing to curb criminals with guns. all they do is weaken the public against things that go bump and smash in the dark.
i am a bleeding heart liberal and i support without any hesitation the right to own and carry a firearm. There are very few burglaries here in this neck of the universe? Why? everyone here has at least one firearm, most are loaded, many are at arms reach and there are very few poor shots.

That's the same reason I love my neighborhood. A nice dead end street, 16 houses, 12 gun owners(that I know of), and over 40 guns in my house alone. No wonder this street is so quiet.

I carry mine (in a broader term) for people who are too afraid to do it them selves.
