im a fan of good ol black metal. ill admit it, some of it is complete shit, but some is good all round metal...im a sucker for imagery too.

Darkthrone, Abigor, Emperor, Rotting Christ, Immortal etc

awesome..immortal is one of my favorites too, along with satanic warmaster, burzum, mayhem, dark funeral and bathory.. i like a few of the newer black metal bands..but i love the old raw stuff

hahaha..yeah black metal is one of those things that is only for a small group of people who like the extreme/dark forms of metal...its main purpose
is to shock and offend with its satanic/obscene and anti-christian lyrics...but i love almost all forms of heavy metal

But I like the older style of Black Metal better along the lines of Venom, Mayhem, Satyricon, Death SS, Destruction and Celtic Frost.

i know they kinda changed there direction, but was anyone into Ulver...early and middle stuff? im not to keen on there newest stuff.

I love all of Ulver's stuff, but their black metal albums are essential. Also, Bathory, old Satyricon, Myrkgrav, Burzum, Taake, some Swedish mid-paced stuff like Craft. BM comes in a lot of different forms, good stuff.
