Ensure your DPI is low (72dpi) and/or use Save for Web function in PS? Max image size is 150 pixels by 150 pixels. Outside of that- try uploading with a different browser?

Ok I'll try the save for web and see if that works. Thank you!

Awesome! I've waited 3 days to finally post something! I intend on posting an intro elsewhere but I have a question about the personal photo, I've cropped and shrunk 3 different pictures, made sure it was small enough, yet it still tells me its too large. So obviously I'm doing something wrong... I really hate asking questions like this, but I use PS if anyone can guide me I'd appreciate it.

Thank you!

Not that Wacko isnt kick ass or anything!

Keep in mind ModBox that there is a difference between the image dimensions (how big it is on the screen) and the file size (how much space it takes up on your computer)

You may need to follow the instructions given to Mrs.Marni. Do you have a copy of photoshop?

I just used the paint program to resize, and it uploaded without a issue, just press Cntrl + W together, then resize to about 15 x 15 or so its small, then it should work, at least thats how my avatar was done as it was downloaded from Southpark's site, the dimensions are 733 x 550 pixels & 20.4KB in size.

Sorry, I'm a longtime lurker but still a complete noob. I've explored a place and would love to post the story/photos, but it said I can't add a location to the DB since I'm not a full member (the location is also not present in the DB ). Which is the appropriate forum to post a new thread with the story & photos?

Either your regional board or photography if you think it holds a broader interest.

Enjoyed reading this, thanks for the write up. I have to admit (for an older fella) I like this site quite a bit. Keep up the great work.

Noob question, but haven't seen an answer...are threads in the 'Contact a Moderator' section only visible to the moderators, besides the Universal FAQ?

Avatar-X runs this site. The forum moderators help out. Misfitstyle is a mod. The rest of those people are just active, long-time members.

No.
No exploration pics and few posts/forum interactions will.

It just might take a while. My first application was turned down because I had only been around for three months and hadn't met up with anybody, and hadn't posted enough exploring photos- so I was told to hang around and let members get to know me and reapply in a couple months.

The second time I applied, I had taken the feedback I was given to heart and made sure to post a lot of exploring photos while remaining active on the forums, and I was granted full membership. It's worth noting that I didn't meet up with another UER full member until nearly a year after I got my FM.

So it might take a little more time and require you to be a bit more active on UER, but it's still quite possible- and there's something to be said for already having some experience under your belt when you make your first impressions in person.

Thank you! It’s very reassuring to know that. you mentioned posting exploring photos I have a tun I could post but where exactly do I post them?
