I definetly want to learn mechanics.
I wanna be able to fix my car without having to spends thousands of dollars everytime.
Only things I can't do myself is weld the cat on.

you want to learn mechanics?
step one: buy a cheap set of metric and standard sockets, cheap set of metric and standard wrenches, a screwdriver set w/allen and torx bits, a pair of pliers and an adjustable wrench. After that, either pick up the chiltons' manual for your car or visit your dealer/ebay/craigslist for the factory service manual.

i think that's how the majority of us started... my mechanical career stemmed from need not want. I needed to keep the fucking car moving! (lol)

and, you get far enough into it, you're going to find that the majority of so-called mechanics out there are idiots or dishonest fucks.
