It's so exciting, yet so tacky! Love the reflection.

I'd imagine nothing could change the color of steel wool aflame other than throwing some other metals into the mix. But then you might not get the same splay of light flying off it with a different chemical composition. Trying to find more information on Wikipedia, I found this page very insightful. http://wiki.answer...es_steel_wool_burn Please do scroll to the bottom of the page to the green box to see all myriad of questions the simple answer covers.

That's great, but is there a less verbose version somewhere? Also, I passed a dinosaur in the middle of nowhere at 2am the other night, and forgot to light paint it for you.

If you light paint a dinosaur for me, I may be convinced to go in a drain. Once. In high heels. I'll be sure to post a photo of it on UER. I'll post the same photo every few weeks when the opportunity arises. Deal?

Deal, but dammit, my dinosaur is 247km from here

It's the same as 247 miles, because of the currency conversion.

Damn the economy has tanked... I remember when one of our miles used to be worth 1.60 of your kilometers.

I wish I'd invested in furlongs when I had the chance. Just to be on topic, here's a shot that's kinda light painted, in that it's artificially lit, at an abandoned site...

That pier sure came up a treat! and cool idea using the cathodes to make the cones with, bet it took a while to do all that detail. Great stuff mate! Metawaffle : thanks we are all having a ball with MCDP as we are always coming up with new techniques and kit. And I can safely say that we have all made great friends from it as well. Were even starting to get some doco makers interested which may be more of a hassle than anything! (anyone remember how the media always tried to make the Cave Clan look like idiots? which always backfired on the media HA HA !)

^ Doco's aren't fun unless well paid. Yep, it took sometime creating the pier shot. And there I was contemplating doing a one shot straight from camera. Bugger that, There are 4 frames stacked, so I can remove the lanterns, the sparks to the right and the highlighted rail, thus leaving it raw with the burning wool. I managed to break a cold cathode, stepped on it in the dark didn't I. ..........it's a wholelotta fun. Started my journey a few months back and now I'm creating madness......... ...and it aint over.

1.4 Million BTU furnace in a Atlas D missile site. Best one I've been able to get out of my camera yet in complete darkness. Painted with surefire G3 and Cree R2 drop-in with a hit of my friends incandescent mag-lite.

Posted by willskith Unfortunately, due to overuse of tonemapping, photography was gradually ruined and now stands with halos.
