my brother and his evil wife just had their third child, another son. He's quiet which makes me nervous. I feel his already plotting to take over the world. Add that to the weird name they gave him... imagine the hell this kid is going to go through later in life with a name like Carter. Kids named Nicky, Vinny and Tony are going to pummel this kid.

Finally doing something I've wanted to do since I was 18.
Yesterday, I called a tattoo studio in Burlington VT. Then sent them what I wanted via email and finally went through with getting a tattoo this afternoon. Tomorrow, I'll have Sam take a photo so I can show it.
Made me feel old to see kids in there 10 or 15 years younger than me with tons of tattoos and me just getting my first and probably only one.
Sam refused to get one, although he probably could have gotten one, since the artist that did mine wasn't booked for the rest of the day after he finished with me.
I'm actually proud of myself...it wasn't anywhere near as bad as what my sister described...I didn't even flinch. That little shit has three of them...so I should have known it wasn't that bad.

Going to a junkyard, seeing a 93 mustang and remembering when I went to a showroom and these were brandnew. Cruising ebay and seeing things I own and use in the antique and collectable sections. Owning tapes. Having a tape player. Realizing my fiance was 12 when my daughter was born. And 9 when I graduated HS. Still thinking flannel is cool. Remember playing with HESS trucks that looked like real trucks. Saturday morning cartoons and the cartoon express. Dammit I just turned 30. Where did my life go?

Now I know where I saw the lighthouse that was on the Discovery channel the other night. How ironic that I was complaining I was suffering from old lady brain again, come to the oldies thread and here it is in your avatar.
