First off I have a fairly nice computer
It's a Sager 2090 Notebook 2.2 T7500 Centrino Duo (Santa Rosa) 3 GB/s RAM 512 nVidia 8600GM 7200RPM 200GB Seagate Hdd (fastest notebook Hdd available )
But recently I've noticed my CPU has been maxing out and firefox has been slow as all hell. So I googled it and someone found the fix: tools-->options-->security--> uncheck "Tell me if the site I'm visiting is a suspected forgery" Firefox speeds right up and my cpu which was at 30-100% is back down to 1-4%. You just have to be careful about "suspected forgery" sites... but hey "security economy and speed" are three words that are never grouped together except in Honda commercials.
