I've had a concealed carry permit for years. Charles Askins was a neighbor of my grandfathers, and he gave me a bit of advice I have stayed with. "Carry what you shoot, and shoot what you carry." Been carrying a Browning Hi-Power 9mm for years.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

That bothers me quite a bit. I'm not looking forward to that part of living in Canada.

They are trying to ban handguns PERIOD in Canada, never mind being allowed to actually carry one. It's hard enough to OWN one these days.
What bothers me is the fact that honest people that register their gun are getting the shaft, yet the criminals are the ones that have full access. Why ban guns from honest, law abiding people. Ugg

That is not good. Not good at all. That is one of the first things the Nazis did to Germany. An unarmed populace is an easily controlled populace.

I own a beretta M71 that belonged to my late uncle.

Very nice pistol, though there is a rough trigger pull.

Glock 36 after hours.
S&W642 when the 36 is just too heavy.

In polite company, a Series 70 Colt Combat Commander, shirt tail out Mexican style.

If things are looking rough, rural or I just want to impress everyone and I got a reason to wear a coat or jacket I actually carry a S&W 629 6" that I got so my leather shoulder holster + sweat wouldnt wear out the finish on my Mod 29, 6 1/2" blue.

I dont need more than 6 or 7 shots I reckon but I do love my Browning Hi-Power and her 13 friends like Jonsered does.

I had to sell my pistola when i moved back to New York from Tennessee, but when I lived down there, I bought an M1911A1 clone at a pawn shop. For those of you have never fired a .45, do so... it's nice.

It takes an act of congress to get a pistol permit here in New York. And the worst part is, from what I have been told, if you are caught with a pistola without a license, you're heading to jail... fast. It's like automatic, or something.

they don't call it the Empire State for nothing.

I carry a Makarov(polish) P64. It's a nice size for taking with you everywhere. Not too mention I only paid 160 bucks for it so I don't mind that it gets a little beat up.

My "just in case" pistol is a Sig Sauer P232 which is small, comfortable, reliable, and fits in my belt or my pocket. When I'm working, it's a S&W Tactical .45 on a shoulder holster. If I'm expecting trouble, camping, etc, I tend to bring my 9mm Ruger with its 20rd clip.

So many fun toys, so little time.
