I think my mom had a dress in that wallpaper pattern in the '70s. Probably the carpet pattern, too.

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

Yep. And fusebox covers. Not even kidding. I'm surprised the tin ceilings didn't have wallpaper stuck to them. It was a visual disaster in there. That lovely toxic pink glow you see in the back is the bathroom, with light filtering through a magenta curtain.

My eyes bled.
