Speaking of uh chevy, how hard/expensive would it be to swap a 454 into a 1990 GMC 1500 suburban?

Awesome...and I'm a sucker, I'm set to buy a Chevrolet Equinox LT or a Sport next month...maybe..we'll see. Depends on if the dealership can get what I want. It's basically coming down to a contest of wills between my parents and me. I was hoping that what I wanted was too expensive for them, it all depends on the insurance, if that's too expensive, then the deal is off. Anyway...wonder how much money he put into it over the years. Shael

454 was an optional engine in the Suburban. The hard part is, as always with an FI vehicle, is the computer and harness. And Shael, be careful about the payment...

Yeah, I heard that it was availible in the 3/4 ton 2500 but wasn't too sure on the 1500. I'll definitely start looking into it. Because the 350 in there now is great for towing until you hit the rockies and then you may as well put on your hazards and crawl in the right lane.

Oh, I am...I called the dealer this morning and they don't have what I wanted anyway, they sold it two weeks ago. It's ruby red metallic or laser blue and the LT 2 package or nothing. I'm planning on being so specific on what I want that I doubt anybody will have it. I have to go down there anyway or call and see if they can get me one in two weeks. Shael

Well of course its GM product! If it was a Toyota, the transmission would just fail at 100,000
