I met my fiance online. I lived in Michigan, he in Virginia, we moved here 2 years ago to California. Online dating is not weird anymore, I find that more and more "bar dating" seems weird to the 20 something generation, whereas the older people are like "hahahaha online dating". Just do what you want to do! Personally I can't imagine just picking some stranger at a bar. Online I got to set up a profile and put up REAL pictures of me the way I dress and look, not be all made up - so I got a guy who likes me for me, doesn't expect anything else, and I actually like him. Out of dozens of guys who tried talking to me who really didn't say anything at all, he was the one who stood out, who I wanted to talk to night after night and eventually called on the phone, and then eventually met (a long drive for him). After talking so long online and over the phone - meeting was surreal. We are happy, but just like any other couple. Ups, downs, fights, good times, etc. There is no difference. Once you meet someone, you meet them. It doesn't matter how L

Posted by Senseriffic Id go out with friends if i had any... or if the ones i DO have had any lol The only issue i have with myself is im too fat. I love everything else about myself... so... its a matter of time and discpiline, and i try not to let guys see my lack of confidence with my body. I guess if these college boys dont work out Ill dabble more into the online thing, im very very picky though so finding someone who matches me is nearly impossible...

Just wanted to say - "too fat" is not for you to decide - it's for someone else to decide. Trust me, there are lots of guys who like bigger women over the skinny ones. I had some guy friends who would deliberately try to get their GF's to eat more...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And also - a lot of people DO fall in love with personality and heart first, and looks second... L

Folks, if I wasn't married I would ROCK the online dating world. I think it's awesome--you get to know someone first by text (I teach writing, this excites me), you can't fake the funk when it comes to who are, either you end your sentences in prepositions or you don't. Plus, people can be more of who they are anonymously first, then when you meet them you can say stuff like, "where's that funny gal/guy i met online?" And, you could be an average guy and use your wit and charm in a safe way; don't know about you but if I had to talk to a girl I found attractive at a bar I may as well have been born w/out a tongue. Bottom line: it isn't weird you aren't a loser.

Thats true.... I don't know why I have trouble looking at it that way, Probably from my experience in past relationships. I was pretty much always told I was too fat. (and No Im not that huge, not at all Im just not in shape or thin at all) I know how to pick em!
