| Well its 4:49AM and I have yet to sleep. I've been looking over the DB for hours and I just won't stop. I should probably study if anything (psych final on wednesday), but I've just sat on the computer and read. I tried to read up on how to design a website for some reason. Then I got stuck on Wikipedia for a while. It's addictive, like YouTube. You go there for one thing and then you get side-tracked by another and before you know it it's 4 days later.
No exploring at all. I haven't done a thing. I figure if I read up on the DB enough I can learn stuff. I have too. I don't think I want to venture anywhere without an Asbestos Mask. I've read a couple stories already involving harm from not being properly equipt. I need a UE Kit. I already know what will go in it. Oh yeah, and a partner. I've also read a couple threads on the Forums talking about exploring alone, and all in all I'm getting the feeling it's not a great idea. I used to know someone irl from Infiltration but we don't talk anymore. We kind of had a "falling out" or whatever. And yeah, I sent out a couple messages to a couple explorer's in my city and one can't do anything because of an injury and the other hasn't gotten back to me. So I'm thinking I'm going to have to find an affiliate outside of this site, someone from school or perhaps work. That's the plan. And it looks like no exploring until after Christmas. That's when I'll have money to buy the necessary tools that I'll be needing; I'm planning on just "borrowing" my sister's camera. I don't want to pitch for a new one just yet.

Well, that's one of the main problems with sites like Wikipedia or YouTube. They just contain worlds...  Huge worlds.
Concerning the UE Kit. Mask is important at times but it is not necessary at open spaces like spaces were the wind is present as all of the bad stuff is usually... gone with the wind. Nonetheless, it is advisable to take hell of a lot of stuff just for safety reasons. And a partner is the most important.
I won't be elaborating much on that because as you said you were reading quite a lot of stuff so you probably read most of the major points
