Well that really really sucked. (Also, Ninja skills required)

So heres my story: My beater is getting e-tested on Friday, and I needed to drive at least 250km as I put this guaranteed to pass stuff in my tank. So I figured it would be a great idea to take a random road trip. So Househunter comes up with the idea of going to Buck Hill. So I was like "sweet!" cause the only other idea I had was to go to Belleville cause I really wanted some Denny's lol.

We we left about 7-7:30 ish. I'm not too familiar with the area, and I leave the directions up to her. She guesstimates that its gonna be maybe 2 hours to get there at regular speeds. Turns out that at normal speeds its a little over 3 hours. The roads were kinda shitty so I wasn't going as fast as I normally would. Pretty much took us 4.

When we finally get there, the Buck hill road is kind of unplowed, but that wasn't a big deal. After a few more mins of driving, we finally get to buck hill. This hill is friggin ridiculous. Just couldnt get up there. We took a run at it a few times, but no luck. Too slippery. So because the whole buck hill ghost legend thingy requires you to flash your lights, we werent able to go through with it, and eventually turned around and went home. Although we were surprisingly optimistic on the way home and no where near as pissed off as we should have been.

Moral of today's story: If you are going to attempt to climb buck hill in the winter, make sure that:
1) You don't trust guesstimation to a girl that drives a vehicle that resembles a bloated rollerskate and uses a GPS most of the time. lol.
2) The road is plowed,
3) You have a 4x4
or
4) You have somebody with ninja race car driving skillz *cough*Bandi*cough*

Sounds like a definite "wait for Spring" type visit. Or has the snow melted yet in that area?
