Can't think of a better way to get things started than an introduction thread.
Tell us a little about yourself and what your interests are pertaining to Ue or any other subject if you wish
I will get things started by letting you know a little about me
I am a born and raised Peterborough guy who now lives in Bowmanville. I was always interested in exploring and my dad being a collector of old cars and antiques led me to many sites such as old barns and scrap yards.
I find my interests lean towards old houses and hidden gems in the rural landscape but i look forward to any and all exploration stories you folks have to contribute to this new board
Whether you are a drainer or like the factories and active buildings ,all are welcome and i hope to see some pics along the way / Otonabee

well, i'll introduce myself here too...
my name is robyn, born and raised in peterborough (on an exception of one year spent in England) and basically my specialty is buildings, i haven't gone draining/tunneling yet...
as i said in another board, my job is based around Urban exploration so i'm constantly doing it and know of alot of places, also allows me to do Urban exploration legally (or semi legally) i mostly take video and pictures of places, also have a big interest in paranormal activity, however i don't really go looking for it, i mostly wait for it to come to me...
thats basically me in a nut shell, not much more to say, basically though i eat sleep and breathe urban exploration, i love it to death, always up for a random urban exploration as well. i wish i knew of more people in my area who did it and would be willing to come with, since the friends i sometimes take are not the best people to have in a creepy dark abandoned house in the middle of the night!
been urban exploring for years, and will be for many more!

My name is Aaron, born in the GTA, but moved out to the Campbellford area when I was 11 (24 now)... I love it out here, and just love exploring rural sites.
I manage a race team in the Canadian Rally Championship for a living, so unfortunately this summer, I've been too busy to get a lot of UE done, but things should calm down soon.
Anyhow, thanks for making this forum, Otanabee!

I've felt the need to explore stuff ever since I was little, drains and abandoned places were a big one, but unfortunately all my friends 'grew out of it' so I havent had much of a chance in the past few years.
Lookin for any experience I can pick up.

If you ever decide to explore the drains in town i hope you share the pics. I am too fat and old for the drains. Think i will stick to places i can walk into
but i would love to see some pics and stories from beneath our little city

I have one in mind, but I'm going to have to find somebody to go with.
As a safety thing, I never go alone when doing any type of exploring.

'Lo all, I'm Bre (or Poisonne, doesn't matter which you prefer). I actually live in Tyrone, which is a tiny town north of Bowmanville, but I'm not too far away, so ...
Anyways. I'm sixteen, and, thus far, have only really explored houses (and one school. But it's not technically abandoned. =P).

nivok here, love to plan day trips to explore near by sites, most exciting thing was hitting the rockwood lunatic asylum in kingston... I horribly miss my old ue partner, could use another one (for safety/comradery)

Hi I'm Kendra or Electricfire,I'll answer to both. I'm from Cambridge,which is about 2 hours away from Peterbrough. My uncle's cottage used to be on Buckhorn lake, so I would spend alot of my summers and thanksgivings there.
I've been urban exploring for about 2 years,I got into because I found a link to this site from a transit site(i'm a bit of a transit nut). I'm currently in school for photography and I do freelance photography. My life basically evolves around photography,traveling and music. Oh...and any of you that have met me know how tall I am hehe.
