Are you looking for a pinhole for your DSLR? You could create one, sure, but it'd probably be faster and cheaper to just buy one! I've seen them at B&H before for like $30-40 if I remember right! Some even come with a bit of clear film over the hole so dust won't get on your sensor.

I remember, back in the day, picking up a spare body cap, drilling a hole, sticking some aluminium foil over, and trying to make the most minute pinprick through it I possibly could. A complete waste of time, from a practical point of view, but lots of fun

I made a micro / macro lense out of a 50mm lense and a Pringles tube.
Wasnt much in the "high Quality" side of things, but it was a fun thing to do for the evening.
I took a CLEAN Pringles tube cut off the closed end, stuck an old 50mm lense in backwards, then held the other end up to the camera body. I was able with this set up to get a clear, full frame, focused picture of the one of the boxes of cargo on the deck of the Bluenose Schooner on the Canadian Dime.
Focus was achieved by moving the camera / pringles tube / lense combo back and forth until I could see it was focused.
Low budget macro extension tube and a snack all in one.

I'd have to dig long for the images. It was two years ago that I took the shots.
